One of the slew of new programs for 2009 began tonight. The much hyped Lie To Me, starring Tim Roth, is about an expert on body language who uses his techniques to help solve crimes for law enforcement. I assumed it was going to be another one of those 'CSI, smarty pants' kind of series, and while it does have slivers of that quality, the show was still really good. Tim Roth fits the role of a snarky Dr. Cal Lightman perfectly, and it's very interesting to learn some facts about how people lie and what they're going through as they do. I must say, I'm quite impressed and I can't wait until next week's episode. Finally, something good on TV for 2009. Sorry to all House fans, but that show's getting old and Lie To Me seems like the perfect replacement. That is, as long as it doesn't run out of plot ideas.
