PC: Still Hot

Bioware CEO Ray Muzyka recently stated in an interview that PC gaming is doing great and that more money is being spent on it than ever before, contrary to popular belief. Many people seem to feel as though PC gaming has taken a limo-length backseat to console gaming considering that many original PC games have console ports. If Muzyka is right, it sounds as though PC gaming will only continue to grow. Will it ever begin to outshine the consoles? I doubt it, but hey, we've seen shocking news before (remember when we first found out that the DS was leading the system sales charts?). As 1UP points out though, Bioware is currently working on the PC-exclusive Star Wars: The Old Republic. Here's what I'm thinking. Could Muzyka simply be saying this so his game makes good sales. Is he lulling the gaming community into a false sense of security? Only time will tell.
