Wow, what a start to the E3 convention! Today at 10:30am, Microsoft started revealing a whole load of new games, features, and other exciting news that gamers will get to use in the coming year. Here are the major points of the conference:
1) Almost 5 minutes of gameplay from Fallout 3 was the opener for the conference. The game looks fantastic. The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic Washington. You must take control of your character and find your father who went missing in the world when your character was a teenager. For gameplay videos visit http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/888/888731p1.html and check them out.
2) Resident Evil 5 gameplay footage was shown and it was revealed that there will be co-op play. This co-op play can be started up anytime during story mode and there seems to be lots of interaction between partners. For gameplay footage, once again visit IGN.com and get ready for an exciting new chapter in the Resident Evil series.
3) The new Xbox Live interface was revealed as well. Each Live member will now get to create their own avatar with a massive variety of clothing and accessory options which will also be updated often. Multiple new TV shows, community games and other options will all be introduced along with the avatars this fall.
4) The fourth and final major piece of news I thought was important is the Rock Band song list. The game will feature more than 100 songs along with the ability to add the Rock Band 1 playlist to the RB2 list. That opens up lots of song options.
Sure I didn't touch on the fact that XBOX grabbed Final Fantasy XIII from Sony, or that Gear Of War 2 looks and sounds great, but those are things I'm sure you'll all find out yourself. Again, for more in-depth info visit IGN.com, my personal favourite game site. Thank god for them. And good luck to Microsoft in the next year.
