The upcoming Tony Hawk Series game, Tony Hawk Ride, will not only feature stylish new graphics, but a new peripheral as well. The new motion-sensing skateboard, pictured above, will respond to every flick, kick, and twist of the, um...ankle, and will give the player a more involved experience in the game. While I like the idea, it's definately not original (Wii Balance Board, anyone?). My only question now is if this peripheral is enough to draw in more gamers to the failing skateboarding series. My guess is no. I have a feeling that people who don't skateboard are going to be intimidated by the idea of having to play a video game on one, especially considering that regular controllers can't be used. Tony Hawk Ride will be available for PS3, Xbox360, and Wii, and is set to be released this fall.
