Prototype - Xbox360 Review

Hey everyone who read's these blog posts that we make. Its Brandon B a.k.a Vintagebro here with a review for the game Prototype on the Xbox360.

Story- The story kicks off with you right into the battle, with your powers ready to destory infected and soilders waiting for you to consume them. Anyways your a man named Alex Mercer who worked for a secret organization that specializes in new technology and viruses. A speical virus has gotten free and was set loose in Pen Station infecting and killing millions. The actual story begins with Alex Mercer waking up in a morg to find himself in a autoppsy, he wakes up and takes off. Now you start off discovering some of your powers and new found abilities in serch of answer to as why your are this new shapeshifter and who let this virus go free into New York City. With all this in to play Im going to give the story a solid 8/10.

Gameplay- The gameplay is very solid while some objects and other roof tops look repeative the buildings look great none the less. With various shapes, and highets the buildings and overall the map of New York is very wide and fun to explore. The great part is you will take forever to get to one point to the other useing your shapeshifting powers. You'll have a blast. The missions themselfs are both fun to do and challenging, with every step you take the harder it becomes. Although this is not always a good thing, at some times near the end of the game I was finding it extremely hard even to play it on normal.( I should have picked easy)The side missions are fun but at times you get the feeling like how can I beat this time? Or this is repeative. Its just an added bonus if you get bored with free roam or the story mode. With this both negative and positive Im going to give the game play a 6/10.

Graphics- Now the graphics in this game once again two of one picture. The Shapeshifting abilities along with cool effects in using " Devastators " are fanominal. The mapping on everyones body are pretty good, nothing new and spectacular but pretty good none the less.The maps on the infected I have to say look sloppy, like they rushed it. Somewhat choppy and almost like they played resident evil 4 and said " Hey lets use something like that ". The Boss battles are strong and powerful but again when you look at the grahpics for them and all the blood spewing out, its not that great. The mapping for the outside characters and soilders roaming the streets and a little more well done. The over all map for buildings, tree's and other fitures are very stylish, well done for that. Now before I give my verdic I would love to say the cineamatics for this game were beyond incredible. I mean they looked so realistic I though I was watching a movie. So for this Ill go easyer on my verdic. Im going to give the grahpics a solid 7/10.

Controls- Now you can imagen how many different things you could and do in this game. So imagen how many different combinations you have to do. Wrong, to be honest its really easy. Once you pick it up it many be a bit challenging becuase your not use to it, but once you get the hang of it you wil be doing this without any difficulty. They have used a system of turning wheels where you can rotate to each power, that includes a seperate wheel to " pasty " someone, which means you can trick the army in beliving they are the shapeshifter, which doing so is always fun to watch. All in all its easy but not to hard. 8/10.

Sound- Sound, the sound effects for devistating attacks are very noticiable and clear. No scratchy sounds or anything we have heard before. This adding a cool effect to playing and enjoying this game. From the attacks to screams to the calls for an air strike. All of these working together making this game more alive and it keeps you constantly going. The music has its own varitiy. Very intense while fighting someone, to when your at a safe distances listing to the quite sounds of a city. For these sounds its going to get a 9/10.

\Value- This game is worth buying. With some things that arnt that great compaired to having run running around squashing people into the ground its a lot more fun doing this then playing a simple shooter or a fighting game. I recommend you buy this game and get playing it. ( PLAY IT ON EASY ) I say this game is for the older use, I mean no 10 year old kid would like hearing swear words, guns a blazin' and people getting consumed. Great game, keep making more. 8/10.

Overall- Again overall this game is great. The graphics are pretty good, the sounds awesome. Everything working together makes this game. Although at times the game lag's considering how much is going on at once to some maps not looking that good. This game looks to get a bad review for what ever reason. I see differently. This game over all is going to get a super 8.5/10
