Wii Sales Drop

Nintendo has recently announced that they earned a total of $772 million dollars US for the first fiscal year of sales (April-September). This is a big difference from last years earnings of $1.59 billion dollars US. It seems Nintendo is seeing the end of the major demand for the Wii. For six years, Nintendo topped the chart of console sales, but we might be seeing a very different statistic come Christmas. Maybe Microsoft will take the lead? Either way, the Wii is not dead, it's just aging. Price cuts and the possibility of Netflix on Wii means Nintendo will still hold a place in gamers hearts for a little while longer.
